Delivering a high-performance clinical space

Leading with our trusted M&E partners, we managed all aspects of the site and coordinated a range of specialist contractors. Key works included:

  • Full refurbishment of the ward space
  • Structural remodelling, including wall reconfigurations
  • New flooring, plumbing, electrical systems and lighting installations
  • Supply and installation of fire doors and fire rated glazed screens
  • IPS units (integrated plumbing systems) and suspended ceilings
  • Joinery and full decoration throughout the unit

We also brought in specialist contractors for key packages such as flooring, mechanical and electrical systems and bedhead services, including facilities like medical gas outlets, which installed essential gas and air equipment to support critical patient care.

Seamless delivery in a live NHS hospital setting

Working within a live hospital environment, it was essential to minimise disruption and maintain full compliance with NHS protocols. The upper floor of the building remained operational as a major trauma unit, so careful planning and collaboration with NHS staff was vital to keep patients safe and services uninterrupted.

We liaised daily with hospital personnel, adapted our working hours where needed, and implemented strict site controls to ensure a safe, clean and respectful construction process.
